KATRINA RELIEF

In November of 2007, Gramma's Hugs International (GHI) drove a truckload of donated items to the Coastal Family Health Center headquartered in Biloxi, MS. The items included over 400 stuffed animals in "sleeping bags", 360 fleece blankets, 160 toiletry bags (washcloths, soap, shampoo, lotion, comb, toothpaste, etc), coloring books, crayons, pencils, socks, hats, and many other items for babies and children. Also donated were 3 dental chairs with all accessories, a chiropractic treatment table, a computer, and a printer.

INTERNATIONAL

Over 1,000 blankets were sent to Banda Aceh after the tsunami that hit the island in Indonesia. Dr. Chris Marintik's and Partners International were our contacts in Indonesia.

In Irkutsk, Russia, we sent crocheted afghans, small stuffed animals, small dolls, and baby supplies to an orphanage where the children "live" every day in metal cribs until they are 3 years old.

In Uganda, we supply missionaries that work with the street boys and poor families. We provide blankets, belongings bags, and toiletry bags. As the missionaries go on their "evangelizing" rounds, they fill their truck with boxes from GHI. After their meetings they give the items to the mothers and children.

In India, GHI provided blankets for the victims of the Kashmir earthquake through the Cooperative India Relief Agency. We also sent items to Orissa (near Calcutta) to a mission in a poor village that has 85 children that have been abandoned or orphaned due to parents dying of AIDS.

In addition, GHI has donated items to Afghanistan, Brazil, South Africa, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Germany, Romania, Mongolia, China, Chile, Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Mexico, and Mozambique.
